M-1 Challenge 2009 Update
M1mixfight.com is reporting that due to the success of the 2008 M-1 Challenge series; it will extended and expanded for the 2009 season. As instead of ten participating teams, next year the M-1 Challenge will be comprised of 16 countries.
The new candidates (not all the candidates have been confirmed yet) consist of representatives from traditional power bases such as Brazil, the UK, and Croatia. But also include the likes of Bulgaria, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, and India.

M-1 Global have announced they will make the selection public in due course but the announcement of more news will only add a new dimension to this growing global tournament. This also ties in with the news that M-1 Challenge will be screen across Africa, Asia and the Americas.
This will also increase the pressure on the UK team which is due to make its debut in 2009, as more talent enters the fray, which makes planning and scouting for fights even more difficult. Look out for a feature on what this means to the UK Team on Cagewarriors.com tomorrow.
