Video Interview With The CWFC Lightweight Champion Alexandre Izidro

Alexandre "Xandinho" Izidro (6-7-0) has been interviewed this week by the Brazilian website intheguard.tv. Known primarily for his BJJ skills, Izidro gained his Black Belt when he was just 20 years old. However after encountering frustration and a lack of opportunities in the Brazilian MMA scene, Izidro moved to the UK and eventually ended-up training in Milton Keynes with the likes of top UK Featherweight Danny Batten.
Currently the Cage Warriors Lightweight World Champion; Izidro has held the belt since defeating the former K-1 Hero's and Shooto Japan veteran Jani Lax back in October 2005 at Cage Warriors: Strike Force 3.

Izidro then went on to win the Title outright by defeating Thomas Hytten, Mario Stapel and Franco de Leonardis between 2005 and 2006. However after suffering losses against Dan Hardy and Jason Tan at 73kg/161lbs. And then suffering a decision loss at another show against Paul Reed, the Brazilian Top Team/Total Dojo member decided to move on yet again.
