4 new fights announced for CW95

Cage Warriors confirm 4 new bouts for CW95, their 5th anniversary event in London, including appearances from new signings Adam Amarasinghe, Chase Morton and John Robinson.

To add to what’s already shaping up to be one of the most impressive UK MMA cards of 2018, Europe’s leading MMA promotion have announced even more for London fight fans to get excited about on July 21st. Here’s the crop of new fights added to Cage Warriors 95.

In the toughest test of his career so far, surging Welsh prospect Mason Jones will take on Chase Morton in the Lightweight division. Jones has remained unbeaten since his pro debut last year, with 4 straight finishes. His last outing saw him submit Craig Edwards in the headline spot of Cage Warriors Academy Wales event on May 12th, after impressing with a strong TKO victory over Lawrence Tracey two months earlier. Morton, who was made famous by an appearance on ITV’s ‘The Voice’, has almost three times as many fights as Jones and 5 knockouts under his belt to prove that he’s more than capable of ending this one early.

In the Welterweight division, 14-fight Cage Warriors veteran and London fan favourite Brad Wheeler faces John Robinson, a prospect making his CW debut under the tutelage of Jim Wallhead. Robinson is currently undefeated as both an amateur and a pro, but will have to get past an incredibly tough Wheeler who always chases for the stoppage in front of his London crowd. Bantamweights Luca Iovine and Kris Edwards meet further down the card, after Edwards picked up an impressive stoppage win at CW91 and Iovine lost to ex champion and now UFC prospect Nathaniel Wood at CW92.

2017 IMMAF European Open champion Adam Amarasinghe will face Aaron Laleye in the flyweight division after impressing Cage Warriors management with an extensive unbeaten amateur record.  Adam is the younger brother of Dean Aramasinghe, former TUF contestant and long time friend of ex Cage Warriors champion and UFC legend Dan ‘The Outlaw’ Hardy. Laleye, also making his CW debut, has the chance to stop Amarasinghe’s run in it’s tracks and make his claim as one to watch in the division.

Light Heavyweight champion Karl Moore will no longer defend his belt on July 21st.
