With just over 24 hours to go until bell-time, the Cage Warriors 193 athletes took to the scales at Newcastle’s Leonardo Hotel on Friday morning.

Former lightweight world champion George Hardwick’s journey back to the gold starts in Saturday’s main event, as he faces Brazilian submission specialist Nonato Junior.
Both the Middlesborough man and his Brazilian opponent hit 164lbs even for their three-round, 165lbs catchweight contest.
The scheduled co-main event between Simone Patrizi and Chris Bungard has unfortunately been removed from the bill. Both men initially stepped onto the scales over their contracted weights. Patrizi returned within the allotted two-hour window to hit 155.2lbs on his second attempt. With Bungard opting not to cut further weight, Patrizi declined to compete.
Michael Tchamou stepped onto the scales at 198lbs for his middleweight bout with Jordan O’Neill. Tchamou opted not to cut further weight and the bout has been cancelled as a result.
Finally, a bantamweight bout pitting Tom Wright against Richard Kallos will no longer take place. Wright tipped the scales at 137.9lbs and was unable to cut further weight, with Kallos opting not to compete as a result.
Patrizi, O’Neill and Kallos will receive their full purse.
A lightweight bout between Grant Ogborne and Michael Blair will now open the six-bout main card, while the highly anticipated clash between Sam Kelly and Giovani Fernandez becomes the new featured prelim.
