With just over 24 hours to go until bell time, the athletes competing at CW 203: London hit this scales on Friday morning in Greenwich.
A new bantamweight champion will be crowned in the evening’s main event, after challenger’s Ollie Sarwa (134.3) and Weslley Maia (134.6) both comfortably made championship weight for what is set to be a thrilling encounter.
Former champion and UFC veteran Jordan Vucenic had no trouble hitting the lightweight limit for his clash with super-prospect Daniel Konrad.
Leon Nauman needed a few additional minutes to shift 0.1lbs for his middleweight contest with Steven Hill (185.9lbs). The German prospect re-weighted at 185.3lbs.
Yusuf Ali-Taleb was unable to make weight for his 163lb catchweight contest against Marin Vetrila. Ali-Taleb opted not to cut further weight and as such will be fined a percentage of his purse, but the bout will go ahead as planned.
Similarly, Joe Middleton was unable to make weight for his welterweight contest with George McManus. After initially tipping the scales at 174.7lbs, he returned two hours later at 173lbs. He will be fined a percentage of his purse, and the bout will go ahead as scheduled.
