Athletes sign new multi-fight deals

A number of new athletes have signed multi-fight deals with Cage Warriors.

Unbeaten Middleweight Will “Drago” Currie is the latest fighter to sign with Cage Warriors and enters the division with the backing of his coach and former UFC fan favourite Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa.

Other newly-signed athletes include brothers Michal and Mateusz Figlak, who both picked up big finish wins on ‘THE TRILOGY’ in September. Weslley Maia, a bantamweight prospect training under the tutelage of UFC legend Brad Pickett alongside former Cage Warriors Champion Nathaniel Wood, has also signed a new multi-fight deal.

Several fighters have also re-signed following successful recent performances. They include flyweight contender Adam Amarasinghe, Middleweights Mick Stanton and Matthew Bonner, and former bantamweight title challenger Josh Reed.

Other UK fighters to sign multi-fight deals in advance of ‘THE TRILOGY’ series include Oban Elliott, Ben Ellis, Kieran Lister, Kyle McClurkin and Christian Duncan.

New European signings Nicolas Leblond, Gerardo Fanny and Yassine Belhadj have also inked new deals in the flyweight, bantamweight and lightweight divisions respectively.

Cage Warriors is Europe’s leading and longest-running mixed martial arts promotion.
