Bouland, Desmae and more confirmed for CW94 in Belgium

Cage Warriors have begun stacking their CW94 card with Belgian fan favourites including Brian Bouland and Donovan Desmae, who impressed with knockout finishes at CW91.

When Cage Warriors visited Belgium last November, the result was the biggest night of MMA in the country’s history being staged in front of packed-out crowd in Antwerp’s Lotto Arena. On June 16th, Europe’s leading MMA promotion return to Antwerp and promise  even bigger and better things than before.

Brian Bouland and Donovan Desmae both finished their opponents with knockouts at CW91 in Wales earlier this year. The two Belgian prospects won ruthlessly, raised the Belgian flag in front of a sold-out away crowd and staked their claim as two of the most ferocious contenders on the continent. Now with the chance to fight in front of thousands of home fans, Bouland and Desmae will be training to put on the performance of a lifetime at CW94.

“Belgium is producing some of the top MMA talent in Europe right now,” says Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan. “Bouland and Desmae have looked on top of their game in 2018, pulling off two of the scariest KOs of the year so far.”

Other Belgian fighters confirmed on the card are Erdi Karatas, Jan Quaeyhaegens and Maarten Wouters. Jan Quaeyhaegens looked impressive at CW89, defeating his opponent via stoppage in round 1, and will return to the Lotto Arena in search of another KO. Wouters has been very active on the Belgian MMA scene over the last four years, amassing 15 professional fights and a deadly 90% finish rate since 2015. Dutch fighters Hubert Geven and Jarno Errens will feature, as well as France’s Eva Dourthe and Manon Fiorot, 2017’s IMMAF world champion.

Also travelling from the U.K to fight for the Belgian fans are Leah McCourt, Dean Trueman, Sam Creasey and Cory McKenna. Fans in attendance at the Lotto Arena can expect a wild and exciting performance from Trueman, who is coming off a fight of the night performance at CW92.  Cory McKenna, just 18 years of age, had the European MMA scene talking with her dominant win at CW91 and will look to replicate her success. For Creasey, CW94 is the night to get back to winning form and prove he’s still a number 1 contender after his title fight loss at CW92. Leah McCourt, an IMMAF title holder in 2016, is looking to continue her success into the pro ranks.
