It’s finally fight week in Dublin, as Cage Warriors presents a welterweight title unification bout for the ages between interim champion Jim Wallhead and champion Rhys McKee at the iconic 3Arena!
Tickets for CW 153 are available from CageWarriors.com
The event marks the promotion’s first in Dublin following a six-year hiatus, and looks set to deliver a pulse-pounding night of mixed martial arts pitting a host of Irish talent against elite opposition from Europe and beyond!
McKee lifted his CW title in August of 2022, following a ‘Fight of the Year’ brawl with Justin Burlinson. Wallhead meanwhile captured interim gold with a win over hot prospect Matt Figlak in November.
The pair will unify the division over five rounds in the evening’s main event.
Also featured on the bill are pivotal bouts in the feather and welterweight divisions, as James Sheehan takes on Oban Elliott and Tobias Harila meets Ryan Shelley.
In some late changes to the card, Adam Shelley will now welcome promotional newcomer Muhammed Kir Ahmet to the CW cage, while Alexander O’Sullivan draws fellow IMMAF veteran Afrim Thaqi.
Finally, French superstar Morgan Charriere will now compete in a 150lb catchweight contest on the main card, as he faces Brazil’s Pedro Souza.
