Cage Warriors – Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation – have today confirmed the addition of another branch to its CW Academy Network.

Following a number of successful events on Italian soil since making their debut in the country last October, Italy has now been revealed as the latest nation to host a Cage Warriors Academy.

Italian fighters have already made their mark on Cage Warriors, with the likes of Michele Martignoni and Stefano Paterno having held CW gold, and Dylan Hazan, Leon Aliu, Dario Bellandi and Jasmine Favero all making huge statements in the famous yellow gloves.

With CWA: Italy, the hunt for the next generation of champions begins.

The new academy will be headed up by Aurora MMA’s Lorenzo Borgomeo.

Cage Warriors in Italy has changed everything for the Italian MMA movement…” said Borgomeo.

“My goal with Cage Warriors Academy Italy is to develop as much talent as possible in this country, where the landscape of MMA has not been the brightest. The only thing we were missing were solid events.”

“Cage Warriors put trust in us for the Pros and we’ve had an amazing start…the missing piece was the amateur side of things. Now that we have that, Italy is ready to take off!”

Initial dates for CWA: Italy are as follows…

September 23rd in Gallarate

November 18th in Sassari

December 16th in Taranto

Cage Warriors returns to Italy for CW 158 on Saturday, July 29th, with tickets available via CageWarriors.com!
