Following the official confirmation of Cage Warriors return to Italy last week, promotional officials have been busy behind the scenes confirming a number of bouts for the upcoming November 2nd card at Rome’s PalaPellicone.

Tickets for Cage Warriors 179: Italy are available here!

The event marks the promotion’s return to Italy following the critically acclaimed CW 162, and is expected to be stacked to the rafters with the nation’s top MMA talent.

Recently confirmed bouts include…

Khadim Dia vs Leon Aliu

Unbeaten welterweight Khadim Dia will welcome former middleweight contender Leon Aliu to the 170lb division.

Italy-based Albanian Aliu will be looking to start his welterweight journey with a bang, after going 2-2 at 185lbs in the promotion, including victories over Alan Carlos and James Webb.

Dia will be out in per suit of his fourth consecutive win in the Famous Yellow Gloves, as he looks to extend his run of professional victories to six.

Sergio Gavinelli vs Manuel Del Valle

In a battle of welterweight bangers, Sergio ‘King Kong’ Gavinelli will look to get back to winning ways against Manuel Del Valle.

Gavinelli came up short against Craig Edwards last time out, and will be looking to right the ship on home soil.

Spain’s Del Valle, by contrast, went 3-0 on his Cage Warriors debut; a wild affair against Mariusz Mikolajewski at CW 175.

Giacomo Michelis vs Olli Santalahti

Giacomo Michelis has been on a tear since dropping his pro debut, winning three on the bounce, including two in the famous yellow gloves.

He’ll face a huge step up in competition against Finland’s Olli Santalahti, a 21-fight veteran with nine finishes to his name.

Additional bouts for CW 179 are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Keep it locked to @CageWarriors on all your social channels to be first in line for updates!
