Cage Warriors 180 is on the horizon, and as is always the case when Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation hits London’s indigo at The O2, the card is jam-packed with CW fan favourites.
Tickets for CW 180: London are availible here!
From wild brawlers to masterful tacticians, slick submission artists to KO kings, the stars of CW 180 have never been short of material for their highlight reels.
Andy Clamp
It’s very much Clamp the Champ season in the Cage Warriors light heavyweight division.
From his promotional debut as an amateur over a decade ago, to finally reaching the top of the mountain earlier this year in Manchester, it’s been quite the journey for the big man, both inside and outside of the cage.
Clamp took all of that frustration out on CW 156 opponent Ghassan Abdenabi, securing a picture perfect takedown and rear-naked choke finish to secure his long-awaited title shot.
Now with the gold wrapped firmly around his waist, ‘The Vice’ will be looking to add another smooth submission to his highlight reel when he makes his first title defence.
Tobias Harila
Tobias Harila doesn’t just have a highlight reel…he is a highlight reel.
The Vasteras Fight Club man has entrenched himself as one of the biggest fan favourites on the CW roster thanks to a series of raw, rugged punch-ups that have never failed to get the adrenaline flowing.
‘Bad Intentions’ stunning knockout of Decky McAleenan at CW 134 epitomises why the CW faithful have taken him as one of their own.
With original featherweight opponent Jeremy Petley forced out at the eleventh hour, Harila opted to stay in London as a stand-in for anyone up to 170lbs.
When a reshuffle of the card saw lightweight McAleenan without an opponent…well, the rest was highlight reel history.
James Webb
James Webb is no stranger to memorable moments at The indigo, the scene of some of his most iconic encounters in the Famous Yellow Gloves over the years.
On November 15th he’ll look to add a second CW title to his resume, facing off with Andy Clamp for light heavyweight gold.
As the clock ticks down to his date with destiny, here’s one from the vault to whet your appetite and a reminder that Webby is as dangerous with his fists on your jaw as his arms around your neck.
Tariq Pell
Former Cage Warriors Academy champion Tariq Pell exploded onto the scene in November 2023, flying out of the gates on his CW debut at The indigo.
A crushing left hook to the jaw of Michael Blair a shade over 22 seconds into the very first round was all it took to get the job done, and give ‘The Tsunami’ a highlight reel moment for the ages.
Next Friday night he’ll be looking to add to his tally after stepping up on a few weeks’ notice to face Danny Blundell.
Jimmy Quinn
It wouldn’t be right or proper to discuss Cage Warriors highlights without a cursory nod to the great Jimmy Quinn, a fighter so exciting you could probably put his warm ups on Pay-Per-View.
Quick as a flash and just as entertaining with it, Quinn has had people talking since his amateur days in the CW Academy.
Now he’s practicing his trade in the more unforgiving professional ranks, yet the finishes keep on coming.
Adam Cullen
Speaking of finishes, how about the return of a man who hasn’t racked-up a single decision victory in eight professional wins?
Liverpool’s Adam Cullen is a monster the lightweight division’s boogeyman, blasting his first six opponent’s in the opening round.
This rapid-fire blitzing of the durable (and at the time, undefeated) El Hadj Ndiaye at CW 136 was Cullen’s coming out party; should he replicate it at CW 180, the title shot conversation will surely be underway.
Paddy McCorry
Part of the new wave of Irish talent tearing it up on the European scene, Fight Academy Ireland’s McCorry was making waves in Cage Warriors prior to his appearance on the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Prior to TUF though, Big Paddy was wowing fans in the Famous Yellow Gloves.
Forced to pick a single standout performance, we’d have to go with this absolute scorcher of a flying knee against Angus Hewett, on the Emerald Isle no less!
Having already given a good account of himself against a former CW middleweight champion, Paddy could be another highlight reel moment or two away from claiming his own shot at the gold.
Don’t miss out on a night of dramatic finishes and all-out wars as Cage Warriors returns to London’s indigo at The O2 on Friday, November 15th!
