Cage Warriors – Europe’s Leading MMA Promotion – have revealed their return to Italy for CW 154 on May 6th.
Officials confirmed the latest stop on the 2023 world tour will once again take place at Rome’s Fiera Roma, following the promotion’s successful Italian debut in October 2022.
In addition to confirming the date, CW officials have also announced the first batch of fighters set to be added to the card.
UFC veteran Carlo Pedersoli Jr. (14-4), grandson of cult movie star Bud Spencer, will look to continue his march towards CW gold following a successful return to the promotion last year.
The welterweight contender is undefeated in the yellow gloves, with wins over Nicolas Dalby and Madars Fleminas on his ledger.
Also returning is middleweight contender Leon Aliu (10-2).
Aliu is coming off an appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, having previously stopped former 185lb champion James Webb in the first round of their CW 138 main event.
Undefeated fan favourite Dylan Hazan (9-0) will be aiming for his fifth consecutive CW win – and tenth overall – as he seeks to put the bantamweight division on notice.
Emanuele Zaccaria (5-1) will look to continue his momentum following a 64-second heel hook submission victory in his CW debut last year.
Finally, Simone Patrizi (5-1) will make his CW debut after recently signing an exclusive, muti-fight deal with the promotion.
“Fans have been clamouring for Cage Warriors’ return to Rome ever since our sell-out debut last year…” said CW President Graham Boylan.
“We’ve added some serious Italian talent to the roster; they’re going to get the opportunity to prove themselves against Europe’s elite.”
“CW 144 was one of the biggest nights in Italian MMA history, but on May 6th, we’re upping the ante!”
Further fighters and initial bouts for CW 154 – which will air live on UFC Fight Pass and international broadcast partners – will be revealed in due course.
