With tickets for UFC London going on sale today, Cage Warriors fans will be delighted to see a card stacked with alumni of Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation! It’s no secret that CW has long been the #1 pathway to the upper echelons of the sport, and UFC London’s mouth-watering card only serves to highlight the fact. So as we continue the countdown to Cage Warriors 186 kicking off the biggest weekend of MMA in the UK on March 21st, lets take a look as some of the former CW favourites gracing the UFC London card!
Tickets for Cage Warriors 186 are availible here!
Jack Della Maddalena
Ok, bit of a cheat to kick off, as JDM only made the briefest of pitstops in CW on his journey to the UFC.
But what a pitstop it was, as he engaged in a lovely little back and forth with then-undefeated UK prospect James Duckett on the CW 88 undercard back in 2017.
JDM would pick up a hard-fought win via second round rear naked choke, showing more than a few glimpses of the grit and tenacity that would become his trademark.
Can he pull this off in the UFC London main event?
Morgan Charriere vs Nathaniel Wood
When this one was announced, it was a bittersweet moment for Cage Warriors fans. On the one hand two of our biggest fan-favourites are taking centre stage in the UFC, on the other it’s like being asked to pick a favourite between two of your kids.

Nathaniel Wood made the O2 his fortress during an incredible CW tenure that saw him rack up iconic KO’s over the likes of Luca Iovine and Marko Kovacevic…and who can forget the instant classic against Josh Reed?
French superstar Morgan Charriere had his own fair share of iconic moments in the Famous Yellow Gloves, from capturing the featherweight title with a rib-roasting body shot against Perry Goodwin, to his legendary clash with Paul Hughes at York Hall, to the 2022-23 renaissance that earned him a UFC call up.

The only thing for sure with this one, is that we’re not picking a winner. Speaking of which…
Nathan Fletcher vs Caolan Loughran
UFC…brother eugh…what’s that brother? Why would you do this to us twice?
All jokes aside, how cool is it going to be to see a rematch between a pair of CW standouts, six and a half years in the making, on the world’s biggest stage?
Loughran and Fletcher first threw down back in 2018 on the Cage Warriors Academy as amateurs, before completing a pair of remarkable runs on the main roster.

Fletcher put together an impressive 8-1 CW ledger, including a trademark submission over future bantamweight champ Michele Martignoni and a points win against current title challenger Alessandro Giordano.
Ireland’s Loughran also broke some Italian hearts during his CW tenure, snatching bantamweight gold from the grasp of Dylan Hazan in one of the most emotionally charged main events in promotional history.

We’re not picking a winner here either, but we’ll be watching through our fingers!
Christian Leroy Duncan
The human highlight reel himself is back in action at UFC London, taking on Contender Series alumni Andrey Pulyaev in a must-win middleweight bout that has ‘banger’ written all over it.

CLD first competed on Cage Warriors as an amateur back in 2016, returning following a glittering amateur career to compete exclusively in the famous yellow gloves prior to signing with the UFC on New Year’s Eve on 2022.
The Mark Weir project carved an incredible path through the 185lb division during the lockdown era, entertaining fans the world over with a style equal parts majesty and brutalism.
His highlight reel finishes to capture and defend the middleweight belt against Djati Milan and Marian Dimitrov were things of beauty.
Molly McCann
Who doesn’t love the Meatball? Molly McCann is a bona fide Cage Warriors legend, lighting up CW events with her infectious personality as easily as she was lighting up opponents with her fists.

McCann’s tenacity took her from a 2014 appearance on the amateur undercard at the Echo Arena to headlining in the same venue for the bantamweight world title.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the Meatball in the UFC, with some incredible highlight reel moments along the way. At UFC London she’ll face Istela Nunes in a must win affair!
Lone’er Kavanagh
Real-life superhero Lone’er Kavanagh was on the cusp of a Cage Warriors title bout, before the Big Boss came a-calling and lined him up for an unforgetable slot on the Contender Series last summer.

Prior to that, the GB Top Team man had been on a tear in the Famous Yellow Gloves. From blistering knockouts to superhuman slickness, it’s no surprise that Kavanagh became such a firm fan favourite in a short space of time.
Signing off with a stunning performance against fellow beloved flyweight Shawn Da Silva, its safe to say that the CW faithful will be in Lone’er’s corner for his UFC London homecoming against Felipe dos Santos.
Jai Herbert
The Black Country Banger forged a reputation as one of the best ‘value for money’ fighters in Europe with a jaw-jacking run through the Cage Warriors lightweight division.

A devastating KO artist, Herbert was turning out people’s lights in the Famous Yellow Gloves for fun on his run to the lightweight title.
A devastating knee to the jaw of Cain Carrizosa served as his CW swansong, and he’s been entertaining crowds in the UFC ever since. Now with a shinny new UFC contract in his back pocket, he’ll face fellow finisher Chris Padilla at UFC London.
The night before UFC London, you can catch the next generation of European MMA megastars in action at Cage Warriors 186. Tickets are availible now!
