Welsh prospect to take on undefeated Italian in Newport on October 14

One of Wales’ top mixed martial arts prospects returns to action on Saturday October 14 as Jack ‘Tank’ Shore steps back into the Cage Warriors cage to face fellow undefeated prospect Federico Mini.

Shore is one of the most exciting young prospects to emerge from Wales, which has quickly developed into a hotbed of the sport in the UK.

Welsh stars Jack Marshman and Brett Johns have already won Cage Warriors world championships and moved on to the UFC, with another Welsh former Cage Warriors veteran, John Phillips, also now contracted with the UFC.

Now Shore is looking to follow in his fellow countrymen’s footsteps by building his growing reputation with more wins on European soil.

Shore’s last outing came against Konmon Deh at Cage Warriors 83. Deh was riding a six-fight win streak heading into the bout, but Shore dominated the contest, claiming a first-round armbar submission finish.

And on October 14 he takes on undefeated opposition in the form of Italy’s Mini, who comes into the contest with a record of six wins, no defeats and 1 draw. The 28-year-old from Rimini’s 5 of his 6 fights inside the distance, with his last two coming by KO/TKO stoppage.

The pair will meet in a featherweight contest on the main card in Newport alongside a welterweight battle between rising contender Craig ‘Thundercat’ White and former title challenger Matt Inman.

Cardiff’s Aaron Khalid will also be in action on the card when he takes on Scotland’s Ross Houston at welterweight.
