Cage Warriors – Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation – has today confirmed the addition of a huge flyweight title bout to its upcoming return to London. Champion Shaj ‘Superman’ Haque will return from a two-year hiatus to defend his title against surging challenger Jawany Scott.

The pair will meet over five, five-minute rounds on Saturday, July 12th, at London’s indigo at The O2 in a feature bout on the CW 192 card.

Defending 125lbs champion Haque (16-5) picked himself up off the canvas multiple times before scoring a devastating knockout of Sam Creasey to capture the title in December of 2022.

He returned to defend the strap deep in enemy territory the following summer, outpointing Michele Martignoni over five rounds in the oppressive Rome heat.

Haque had twice been scheduled to defend his title since, however both bouts were cancelled due to circumstances beyond the champion’s control.

Challenger Jawany Scott (7-1) has been one of the more active athletes on the CW roster during that period, amassing four straight wins against Jean Matos, Ger Harris, Davide Scarano and Jonny Touma.

A slick boxer with KO power and a dynamic ground game to back it up, GB Top Team’s Scott brings a decade’s worth of experience to the bout with his veteran opponent.

“We’re kicking off some big fight announcements for London with a title bout the fans have been asking for!” said CW President Graham Boylan.

“Shaj Haque has forged a reputation as one of the most technically sound flyweights on the European circuit, but he’s going to have his hands full with Jawany, who’s been one of the most active athletes on our roster in the last year.”

“We know the flyweights always bring it, so I’m expecting five rounds of intense action on July 12th!”

Haque vs Scott joins the previously announced bouts pitting Brad Wheeler against Rafael Aronov, Leon Hill vs Steven Hill and Jack Humphries vs Rory Evans.

Tickets for the event are available here, with the card airing live on UFC Fight Pass and international broadcast partners.
