Harry Hardwick and Kennedy Freeman left CW 181 Newcastle as world champions, both delivering dominant displays in our main and co-main events.
In the main event, Houdini successfully defended his featherweight title in a masterclass performance against the resilient Brazilian Keweny Lopes.
Hardwick showcased his elite skill set, controlling the action throughout, before securing a TKO victory to retain his belt before launching himself in the welcoming and wild crowd.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Kennedy Freeman made history, becoming just the fourth female champion in CW history.
Continuing her father’s legacy, Freeman displayed her toughness and technical prowess in a fight that stretched into the championship rounds.
Her relentless pressure ultimately forced her opponent to be unable to continue after the fourth round, earning her the victory and the bantamweight belt.
The main card also featured several thrilling finishes. Justin Burlinson delivered a stunning submission victory after a wild back-and-forth battle that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
In the “people’s main event,” James Power electrified his following fans with a dominant performance over the tough Dumitru Girlean, likely securing his spot as the #1 contender for the lightweight title.
Sean Clancy Jr. continued his rise through the ranks, scoring what many are calling his biggest win to date.
Clancy put on a brutal display of violence, finishing Andrey Augusto with a devastating knockout, a feat that had never been done before to Augusto.
In the opening bout of the main card, Charles Joyner and Yannick Bahati fought to a hard-fought split-decision draw.
On the prelims, the home crowd was treated to several exciting victories. Leon Armes stole the spotlight early with a thrilling win that got the fans going, while Bailey Gilbert also claimed victory to the delight of the local crowd.
Local favourite Michael Tchamou added another highlight reel moment to his career with a dominant win, while Qendrim Pallata also impressed with a huge performance in the middleweight division.
