Liam Gittins remains the Cage Warriors bantamweight world champion after successfully defending his title in the CW 183 Rome main event.

“The Nightmare” set his signature relentless pace, draining the challenger’s energy before an unfortunate doctor’s stoppage following an accidental eyepoke led to a no-contest, bringing the bout to an abrupt end.

In the co-main event, Dario Bellandi and Naglis Kanišauskas engaged in an all-out war in their highly anticipated rematch. After five grueling rounds of back-and-forth action, Bellandi retained his belt, edging out a razor-thin decision on the judges’ scorecards to secure his second title defense.

For the home crowd, Simone D’Anna delivered a spectacular stoppage victory over Gianluca Scottoli in a gladiatorial battle that had the arena roaring.

Meanwhile, Michelangelo Lupoli delivered more damage in his fight against Dylan Hazan, earning a unanimous decision win that sent the Naples fans into a frenzy.

The night wasn’t without more controversy, as Konstantinos Ntelis and Michael Pagani’s lightweight showdown ended in a closely contested split decision, with Ntelis emerging victorious much to Pagani’s dismay.

Aiden Lee silenced the Roman crowd with a slick submission win over previously undefeated prospect Giuseppe Mastrogiacomo in our main card opener.

The prelims delivered fireworks for the Italian faithful. Marc Doda secured a unanimous decision victory in the featured prelim, while Giusepp Ruggeri scored a devastating knockout in the bout before.

Elsewhere, Niko Ceraglia and Damiano Scogna secured statement finishes for Aurora MMA on home soil.
