Cage Warriors’ first 2020 London event continues to stack up, with 4 new fights announced for March 20th.
In the Flyweight division, Ireland’s Darren O’Gorman (6-4) will make his return to the cage against Coner “Hand Grenade” Hignett (7-5).
With multiple first-round finishes to his name, Hignett will look to make a statement in the division after losing to former champion Sam Creasey at CW96. O’Gorman is no stranger to a dramatic finish either, having pulled off a rare reverse triangle submission at CW92.
Expect a fast pace on March 20th!
Elsewhere on the pro prelims, top UK featherweight name Lewis Monarch (10-5) will likely prove the most challenging test of Kingsley Crawford’s (4-2) career to date.
Monarch lost out on the featherweight title to Dean Trueman during 2018’s four-man tournament, and will now look to prove he belongs at the top of the division. But Crawford, having picked up a quick knockout at CW111 late last year, has impressed since signing with Cage Warriors.
London’s own Cory “Capcom” Tait (10-5) returns to the Indigo at the O2 Arena once again, this time to take on Italy’s Davide Baneschi (19-6).
With both men on fine form, a big win at CW113 could put their name in the Bantamweight Title conversation.
The last of this new crop of bouts for March 20th is an all-London lightweight matchup between the young and undefeated Jack Collins (3-0) and Joshua Onwordi (1-1).
Cage Warriors London will take place on Friday March 20th. The following day, UFC FIGHT NIGHT LONDON hits the O2 Arena in what’s anticipated to be one of the UK’s must-see sporting events of the year.
We’re excited to announce that every Cage Warriors London ticket buyer will receive an early access code for UFC FIGHT NIGHT LONDON tickets, prior to the UFC’s presale on Thursday 30th January.
