Cage Warriors – Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation – has today confirmed a world title fight for CW 198 in Manchester. Interim CW lightweight champion Omar Tugarev will defend his belt against Omiel Brown on November 22nd, live at the BEC Arena.

Tickets for CW 198 are available here!

Tugarev was originally set to face Samuel Silva in an undisputed lightweight world title clash, before our lineal champion was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Now, Omiel Brown steps in for his shot at the 155lbs belt on short notice as the #1 contender in the CW lightweight division.

This will be the Jamaican-born fighter’s second shot at Cage Warriors gold, having previously fallen short in the welterweight division in 2023.

Since then, Brown has bounced back impressively, winning our $50k PrizeFighter 170lbs tournament before dropping down a division in pursuit of new opportunities.

Meanwhile, Tugarev earned his CW championship status by defeating James Power in June, stepping in on less than two weeks’ notice and claiming victory via a 3rd round TKO.

“Our fans are in for a real treat when these two finishers meet in Manchester…” said CW President Graham Boylan, “…future UFC talent is always on show up north, and CW 198 is no different!”

“Omar proved he’s one of Europe’s top talents when he stepped in on short notice against James Power last time out in Manchester.”

“But Omiel Brown claimed our $50k PrizeFighter tournament before moving down and earning a shot at the lightweight title.”

“Now, we’re going to find out who’s the best unsigned UFC lightweight talent in Europe!”

CW 198 will air live on UFC Fight Pass and international broadcast channels.
