March is traditionally the biggest weekend of the MMA calendar in the UK, and as ever there was only one way to get the ball rolling: Another sold-out Cage Warriors event at London’s indigo at The O2.

Fans were packed to the rafters for what critics are already hailing as an early contender for ‘Event of the Year’ on UFC Fight Pass, but they weren’t the only ones in attendance for what proved to be a memorable night of in-cage action.

Some of the UFC’s biggest European stars were on hand for the first CW show on the continent this year, and all of them were alumni of Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation.

Nathaniel Wood, former CW bantamweight champion and current featherweight up-and-comer, returned to the venue he’d once made his fortress with a series of stunning KO victories.

The indigo also played host to what many believe to be a contender for the greatest CW fight of all time; a whirlwind one-rounder between Wood and Josh ‘Crazy Horse’ Reed.

Joining the prospect was #5 ranked UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall, the man many are tipping as a potential foil for Jon Jones. Aspinall was undefeated under the CW banner before making the jump to the UFC.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk was also on hand. The former UFC strawweight champion was famously launched onto the global stage after a stand-out performance against Cage Warriors legend Rosi Sexton at CW 69.

Making up the fab four was six-fight CW veteran Arnold Allen. The Felixstow man wowed CW crowds both in the UK and abroad, as his show-stealing style and affable personality made him an instant fan favourite.

‘Almighty’ is just weeks away from the biggest fight of his career, as he takes on legendary UFC featherweight Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway.

Cage Warriors returns to The indigo on July 21st to kick off another huge weekend of Mixed Martial Arts in the UK. Allen, Joanna Violence, Aspinall and Wood all made their names in Europe’s ultimate proving ground…on July 21st, you could well see the next UFC superstar in action at Cage Warriors London!
