Cage Warriors – Europe’s leading MMA organisation – has today confirmed a huge lightweight bout for CW 208 London, as former CW champion Jordan Vucenic takes on former UFC lightweight Yanal Ashmouz.

The pair will meet on the main card at Indigo at The O2 on June 27th.
In the first fight to be announced for the event, both men are looking to secure a second shot at the UFC, having previously competed in the promotion’s lightweight division.
Vucenic (15–4) returned to Cage Warriors following a short stint in the UFC, and has since picked up a highlight-reel knockout in his last outing against top contender Daniel Konrad.
Ashmouz (8–2) will be making his first appearance outside the UFC since falling short at UFC 318 against Quillan Salkilld. He previously went 2–1 in the promotion before that, including a standout knockout victory over Sam Patterson.
‘Red Fox’ recently took to Instagram to call out Vucenic after hearing of his availability for the card.
“@JordanVucenicMMA I heard you want to get back to the UFC. If you beat me, you definitely belong there. Let’s fight,” said Ashmouz.
Vucenic, known as ‘The Epidemic’, responded:
“Yanal called me out on social media, and I believe I can beat anyone in the world on my day, so I was happy to oblige. But as the old saying goes, ‘Be careful what you wish for.’ See you June 27th.”
