The Summer Series may be over but plans are already in place for Cage Warriors’ September return! Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation is kicking off the final leg of its 2025 season with a pair of September dates in Newcastle and Dublin, quickly followed by a return to Italy in October.
With mouth-watering fights already trickling in, it’s high time to take a look at what Cage Warriors fans have got to look forward to when the action restarts on September 13th!
Newcastle – September 13th
Hardwick vs Quaeyhaegens
Somebody sound the Banger Klaxon! One of Cage Warriors all-time fan favourites – former champion George Hardwick – returns to take on one of the 155lb division’s most tenacious finishing machines, Jan Quaeyhaegens!
Hardwick was last seen in a legendary five round dust up against Brazil’s Samuel Silva. As he looks to take his first steps back towards reclaiming the gold, the Middlesborough man will enjoy something of a North East homecoming as he competes at the Vertu Area for the first time in the Famous Yellow Gloves.
Looking to spoil the party is a man with a 100% finish ratio, Jan ‘Q-Bomb’ Quaeyhaegens. The Belgian brawler was last in action against Greek wrecking machine Konstantinos Ntelis at CW 171, navigating choppy waters to maintain a flawless record when it comes to finishing opponents.

One of the biggest bouts on the 2025 calendar, Hardwick vs Quaeyhaegens is a can’t miss affair!
Bungard vs Patrizi
‘No Bungy, no party!’ The Bad Guy is back in action, looking to keep up the momentum from his win over Artūrs Leisāns at CW 187 and extend his current winning streak to three.

The Holytown hardman is no stranger to the Vertu Arena, having given fans in the venue one of their best fight atmospheres in recent memory when he took on fellow scrapper Perry Goodwin there in 2023.
Bungard faces another familiar CW face with a reputation for crowd-pleasing rumbles, Italy’s ‘White Shark’, Simone Patrizi. The 31 year old Roman brawler will be looking to fight his way out of a tight spot both literally and figuratively, as he vies to snap a two fight skid.

Its a tear up with all the potential to tear the roof off!
Fisher vs Prins
A UK MMA legend returns to face a former title challenger! Andrew Fisher last strapped on the Famous Yellow Gloves in August of 2014, for a wild back-and-forth scrap with MMA folk hero Artem Lobov. The Sunderland man, now head coach at The Fish Tank, has enjoyed a 20-fight career across some of the world’s biggest MMA promotions.

He faces Dutchman Orlando Wilson Pris, who has abandoned his plans for retirement to mix it up with the local legend and throw himself right back into the mix at lightweight!
Sam Kelly vs Giovani Fernandez
Sometimes a fight just screams ‘value for money’, and this is one of those times. Two guys built from the ground up on grit and determination, throwing down for your viewing pleasure.

Both men are gunning to get back into the winners circle; Kelly after a shocking upset armbar to Richard Kallos and second generation CW star Fernandez following a back-and-forth encounter with Ciaran Brady.
With everything to play for, this one promises fireworks!
Dublin – September 27th
It may be over two months away, but the first fights for Cage Warriors’ highly anticipated return to Dublin have just begun to trickle forth….and they’re quite the bunch.
Chief among a trio of scraps released in recent days is the second best bit of GTA-related news we’re due in the next ten months, the return of the GTA Selector, Ger Harris.

The Team Ryano man will be aiming to get back on track following heartbreak in April, when he dropped a decision to Marcus Vinicius Ferreira. He’ll face Jonny Touma, in what’s sure to be an all-action contest.
Ireland’s Stephen Costello will make his CW debut at the RDS, as he takes on rising Spanish star Manuel Del Valle in a welterweight clash that will keep fans on the edges of their seats.
Finally, ‘The Hotstepper’ Connor McCarthy will strap the Famous Yellow Gloves on for a second time when he meet the returning Diego Visanzay in a lightweight contest. Can the Irishman remain undefeated, or will the Spaniard nab his first CW win?
With additional bouts for Newcastle and Dublin, and the first contests for Cage Warriors’ October 4th Roman return set to be announced imminently, it’s never been a better time to be a Cage Warriors fan!
