With just over 24 hours to go until first bell at the iconic RDS, the CW 194 athletes hit the scales at Dublin’s Sandymount Hotel on Friday morning.
As revealed via Cage Warriors social media on Thursday, Luan Duarte was forced out of his main event clash with Leon Hill after issues with his travel documentation left him unable to complete his journey to Ireland. As a result Yan Blasco has stepped up on 48 hours notice to face Leon Hill at a catchweight of 179lbs.
A flyweight bout pitting Matthew Friel against Jamie Abbott-Bissett will now no longer take place, after Abbott-Bissett weighed in at 132.8lbs. Friel made weight successfully and will receive his full purse.
A previously announced welterweight bout between Manuel Del Valle and Stephen Costello will now take place at a catchweight of 177lbs.
Ger Harris, Jonny Touma, Gary Rooney, Joe Doyle and Justyna Kulińska all made weight successfully at the second time of asking.
With all other athletes hitting their marks without issue, CW 194 proceeds with 14 bouts.
