With just over 24 hours until showtime, the Cage Warriors 198 athletes his the scales at Manchester’s Holiday Inn Hotel on Friday morning. The evening’s main event – an interim lightweight title bout pitting challenger Omiel Brown against champion Omar Tugarev – is good to go, with both men comfortably making championship weight on the scales.

Tensions simmered as Simone Patrizi (155.2lbs) and Chris Bungard (155.9lbs) hit their marks for their lightweight grudge match.
Only Fran Breen was unable to make his contracted weight. The Next Generation man came in at 128.5lbs and opted not to cut further weight. He will be fined a percentage of his purse and the bout will go ahead as planned.
Roman David and Christian Soda’s lightweight bout has been changed to a 157lb catchweight contest after all came to an agreement at the weigh-ins.
After Ryan Hewitt withdrew earlier in the week due to weight issues, Matthew Friel will now face Nathanael Woods at a catchweight of 130lbs.
Chris Price will now not compete on the card, after his original opponent withdrew and a suitable replacement could not be found. Price made weight at 154lbs and will be paid his full purse.
