James Sheehan vs Daniel Konrad CW 170
Dublin’s James Sheehan did not have an easy road to the Cage Warriors welterweight title, so you could bet your bottom dollar (or Euro) that he was going to make the most of it. Another man looking to make the most of the opportunity was Switzerland’s Daniel Konrad.

The Swiss Army Knife rocked up to Dublin ready to take everything ‘Jimbo Slice’ had worked for, and what followed was one of the most epic, blood-and-sweat battles in CW title history.

James Power vs Daniel Kolasiński CW 172

Sometimes a hidden gem pops up when it’s least expected, as was the case when James Power took on promotional newcomer Daniel Kolasiński. The Newcastle crowd had just witnessed Kennedy Freeman’s insane third round KO, and were perhaps inclined to see the lightweight bout as a palate cleanser before Harry Hardwick’s main event.

Instead, they were treated to one of the best knock-down, drag-out rounds of MMA in recent memory, with both men coming agonisingly close to finishing the fights as they left everything in the cage.

Alessandro Giordano vs Michele Martignoni CW 174

Fate conspired to keep the two Italian entries out of last summer’s $50,000 PrizeFighter semi-finals, but on the flipside, we were treated to a high-stakes bantamweight brawl to determine the nation’s best 135lb’er.

Former champion Michele Martignoni and risping star knocked lumps out of each other to waves of rapturous applause, before a surprise finish brought the house down.

Mason Jones vs Michael Pagani CW 175

From the intricacies of interwoven styles to the majesty of high-performance athletics, MMA has it all. Sometimes though, what you want is a good, old fashioned punch-up. Enter Mason Jones and Michael Pagani.

There isn’t really a whole lot to say about the fifteen minutes of mayhem the pair shared in Manchester’s BEC Arena, except to say that if you haven’t seen it and you like a good scrap, now is the time to fire up UFC Fight Pass.

Alessandro Giordano vs Emanuele Zaccaria CW 179

2024 has been quite the year for Alessandro Giordano; three big wins, a nomination for Breakthrough Fighter of the Year and not one, but two nods for the year’s best fight.

Emanuele Zaccaria showed incredible guts, stepping up to face his countryman on less than a week’s notice. To watch the fight you wouldn’t have known, as the pair exchanged blows for fifteen fast and furious minutes in a contest that split fans, and the judges.
